# Change Metadata Retention

> Bound the searchable history window with deliveredTtlDays. Quarantine is governed by its own separate setting.

  Quarantined emails are not affected by the Metadata retention, see [Change Quarantine Retention](/latest/data-retention-quarantine).

You can configure it in the `shared/guarded_tenants.yml` file:

* `deliveredTtlDays`: Duration after which metadata of benign (non-quarantined) emails is deleted.
* `fileAnalysisTtlDays`: Duration after which file upload results are deleted.
* `reportedTtlDays`: Duration after which metadata of reported emails is deleted. This includes the reported email itself.
